Craft is the handshake between idea and matter.
Window intelligence
Windows at Sant Pau are not generic openings. They calibrate light, orientation, and emotional tone.
Ironwork intelligence
Ironwork performs two jobs at once:
- Safety and structure
- Visual continuity and movement
Observation matrix
| Element | Functional role | Aesthetic role |
|---|---|---|
| Window frame | Light control | Pattern and rhythm |
| Gate ironwork | Boundary | Signature linework |
| Hardware | Use and durability | Tactile elegance |
Micro challenge
- Photograph one element from 3 distances: far, mid, near.
Last line
Sant Pau reminds us that beauty is often engineered at the scale of the hand.
